UTA Rideshare Hosts 14th “Bike Bonanza” At Gallivan Center

May is Utah Bike Month.

utahbike1During May there are many “Biking Events”  literally going on every day in the entire month.  Click here to check the schedule of Biking Events Utah Transit Authority (UTA) through their Rideshare program is sponsoring the following:

UTA Bike to Work Wednesdays

Wednesday of each week  
Ride your bike to work! Show your support of biking as a viable commute option by biking to work every Wednesday throughout May. City officials, workers and police officers all saddled up their two-wheelers along with many others for Bike to Work Day.
 

14th Annual Bike Bonanza

UTA Rideshare is hosting its 14th Annual Bike Bonanza at Gallivan Plaza in downtown Salt Lake City on Friday, March 15th from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

utahbikeAs in past events there will be fun, food and prizes throughout the evening. Stop by the UTA Rideshare booth to get your ticket for the drawings. Prize drawings will be held approximately every 15 minutes throughout the evening for bike gear, Bike Bonanza T-Shirts and more.

Adults and children are invited to enjoy a host of bike-related activities, including free helmets for the first 75 kids, contests to win free bicycles, electric bike kits and bike tune-ups, and a tricycle contest.

Below is the schedule for the events:

  •  4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Tricycle Time Trial –for kids of ALL ages and sizes!
  •  5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Cyclo Show and Go – where you can demo modified bicycles
  •  7:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Bicycle Style Show – bikes, commuter wear and recreational wear
  •  7:30 p.m.(approx) Main Drawing for Electric Bike Kit, and Three (3) Bikes!

Visit the many vendor and information booths and be sure to stop by Papa John’s booth for a slice of Pizza or by the Creamies booth for one of your favorite ice cream bars while your bicycle is in having a tune-up and don’t forget to pick up your Salt Lake Century Ride packet!
