The Salt Lake City Union Pacific Depot is a spacious building located on the western edge of downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.
Built from 1908 to 1909, it harkens back to a more prosperous era in the history of American railroad travel.
In January 2006, three floors of the old Union Pacific depot re-opened as a restaurant and music venue, fittingly called The Depot. As with many of alcohol serving establishments in Salt Lake City, it is considered a “private club” which requires membership and that means guests must be 21 to attend a show held there.Anyone in the general public can obtain a membership by paying the appropriate fees that are regulated by the State Of Utah.

The Depot brings a wide variety of musical talent to Salt Lake. The Depot is Salt Lake City’s most unique venue space, featuring three (3) event floors located in the landmark Union Pacific Station at The Gateway. Offering more than 17,000 square feet of banquet space, The Depot, with a 1200 person capacity, is an ideal location for a corporate event or an elegant space for a wedding.
The Depot is conveniently located on Salt Lake City’s TRAX light rail system for the convenience of your guests. In addition the management company has a 30-year history of booking live entertainment in Salt Lake City.
Moe, Andrew Dice Clay, Railroad Earth concets are scheduled for June.
