It seems that the current recession has touched every corner of American life. From factory workers to those in finance, Americans have been shaken by a contracting economy that has shed 4.4 million jobs since December 2007.
But a report recently printed in Forbes magazine and released by Gallup and Healthways (a disease management company) suggests that some states are much better off than others. In this national survey, Utah came out on top as the “number one most liveable state” in the nation.
The Salt Lake City & County Building was originally constructed by free masons between 1891 and 1894 to house offices for the city and county of Salt Lake and replace the Salt Lake City Council Hall and Salt Lake County Courthouse, both erected in the 1860s.
