Today, the first travelers on Delta Air Lines’ new nonstop trans-Pacific flight will arrive in Salt Lake City this morning, four hours before they left Tokyo.

Salt Lake City International Airport (IATA: SLC) is the major public airport in the state of Utah. A joint civil-military facility, it is located in western Salt Lake City, approximately four miles from the central business district. The Salt Lake City Airport is currently the only airport with commercial airline service in the Wasatch Front and its surrounding counties and is the closest commercial airport for more than 2.5 million people living in the Intermountain West Area.
