The most recent forecast for the Utah economy shows a bottom established in 2009 with some signs of growth by 2010.

With the state of California in the midst of economic turmoil, federal bailouts, and budget deficits in more than 40 other states, a new report from the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) offers a roadmap to recovery based on economic performance trends from states over the last 10 years.

While the economic crisis has silenced hundreds of real estate projects around the country, 1,100 construction workers are toiling on a 20-acre development here that is springing up across the street from the Mormon Temple in the center of downtown.
